Job Requirements
- Showcases a warm, upbeat, and energetic demeanor to guests
- Arrives to work on time as scheduled and ready to work
- Follows Miller's Ale House policies in all respects including time recording and clocking in/out
- Greets guests warmly and acknowledges those within five feet
- Seats guests based on preference and rotates seating fairly
- Provides departing guests with warm salutations
- Supports service team with bussing and table resetting
- Manages guest placement to enhance experience and ensure safety
- Provides accurate wait times and recommends waiting options
- Answers incoming calls professionally
- Keeps work area neat and organized
- Completes assigned sidework including restocking and cleaning restrooms
- Communicates with team members and management effectively
- Notifies management of any issues promptly
- Washes hands every 20 minutes and maintains sanitation protocols
- Supports front-of-house functions recognizing their impact on guest experience
- Exhibits strong communication skills and willingness to complete all tasks
- Must be at least 18 years old or meet state legal requirements
- Sets up team members for success at shift changes
- Capable of physical demands such as standing and walking for extended periods and lifting up to 20 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Basic reading and handwriting skills
- Familiarity with seating software or willingness to learn
- Friendly and positive disposition
- At least 18 years of age or as required by state law
Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and acknowledge all guests within five feet
- Seat guests based on their preference when possible
- Rotate seating to ensure even workloads and prompt service
- Provide departing guests with a warm salutation thanking them for their visit
- Support service team by bussing dishes, sanitizing, and resetting tables as needed
- Manage guest placement in entrance area to enhance experience and ensure safety
- Answer incoming restaurant calls in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain a neat and organized workstation and entrance area
- Complete opening and closing sidework tasks
- Ensure restrooms are clean, tidy, and stocked
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
- Notify management immediately of any potential guest or team issues
- Maintain safety and sanitation protocols
- Support front-of-house functions as needed to enhance guest experience
- Provide accurate wait times and recommend waiting options such as seating at the bar
