Job Requirements

Must possess a positive attitude and smile
desire to help out where needed and work as part of a team
be able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills
excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
be able to work positively under pressure in a fast-paced time sensitive restaurant environment
understands the importance of adhering to high customer service standards
maintains excellent knowledge about menu items and ingredients
proficient in the use of Aloha Point-of-sale (POS) terminals
excellent critical thinking and time management skills
must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, sushi bar and dining room personnel
be willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed
works hard to resolve any complaints regarding food or service
ability to stand and walk and stay focused and alert for extended periods of time
must have the physical abilities to carry out the functions of the job descriptions
flexibility to work a variety of shifts

Job Qualifications

Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
proficiency in using Aloha Point-of-sale (POS) terminals
excellent critical thinking and time management skills
ability to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, sushi bar, and dining room personnel
strong guest relations skills
ability to work positively under pressure
maintains excellent knowledge about menu items and ingredients
willingness to follow directions and ask questions for clarification
works hard to resolve complaints regarding food or service

Job Duties

Welcoming and escorting guests to tables and providing menus
managing the wait list
answering telephone and directing calls
placing walk-in and call-in takeout orders
preparing beverages and expediting food orders if necessary
collecting payment from customers
addressing complaints of patrons and communicating guest concerns to the manager as appropriate
ensuring that take-out orders are complete and food looks appealing before delivery
ensuring timely delivery of all food to guests
maintaining knowledge of all table numbers
performing opening, running, and closing duties
other duties as requested by manager
