  • Proficient in the use of Aloha Point-of-sale (POS) terminals
  • Excellent critical thinking and time management skills
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, sushi bar and dining room personnel
  • Be willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed
  • Works hard to resolve any complaints regarding food or service
  • Ability to stand/walk and stay focused and alert for extended periods of time
  • Must have the physical abilities to carry out the functions of the job descriptions
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
  • Clean, restaurant industry specific non-slip shoes
  • Socks must be worn

Job Duties

  • Welcoming and escorting guests to tables and provide menus
  • Managing the wait list
  • Answering telephone and directing calls
  • Place walk-in/call-in take out orders
  • May prepare beverages and expedite food orders if necessary
  • May collect payment from customers
  • Address complaints of patrons and/or communicating guests concerns to the manager as appropriate
  • Ensures that take-out orders are complete and food looks appealing before being delivered to a guest
  • Ensures that all food is delivered to guest in a timely manner
  • Maintains knowledge of all table numbers
  • Performs opening, running, and closing duties
  • Other duties as requested by manager
