Job Requirements

Legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
Satisfactory physical and mental health to perform job duties
Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation
Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours per shift with limited breaks
Ability to carry up to 30 lbs unaided and exert up to 50 lbs of force
Ability to perform repetitive motions of legs, feet, waist, back, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands, and fingers
Ability to raise or move objects horizontally
Availability and willingness to work all scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays
Must have reliable transportation
Must wear required uniform
Ability to multi-task, lead, and communicate effectively

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred
Some college or culinary education beneficial
At least one year of restaurant service experience in a high volume establishment required
Current local or state food handler's training certification as required
Current local or state alcohol beverage service training certification as required
Basic knowledge of wines, vintages, and wine pairings
Basic knowledge of beers, spirits, and cocktails
Competency in POS and TMX computer systems
Basic math proficiency
Good spoken and written English communication skills
Ability to express and exchange ideas in English at a conversational level consistent with fine dining
Professional, clean appearance and friendly, approachable demeanor

Job Duties

Greet guests warmly upon entry and over the phone
Guide guests through ordering and payment procedures
Maintain familiarity with Lawry's appearance standards, guest interaction, table duties, side work, safety procedures, and overall operations
Comply with all employment policies including accurate record keeping and communication of shift changes
Participate in introductions, food and beverage selections, verifying guest satisfaction, and resolving issues
Accommodate special guest needs confidently while following standard operating procedures
Maintain company property and adhere to uniform standards
Demonstrate safe work habits and maintain cleanliness in entrance and foyer areas
Follow approved food handling and sanitation procedures
Check and stock front desk supplies
Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and balance cash drawer
Answer telephone promptly and courteously
Take telephone and fax orders efficiently
Provide expedient take-out service
Support the VIP Rewards program
Check, clean, and restock restrooms regularly
Express ideas clearly in spoken and written English
Demonstrate knowledge of Lawry's history, locations, hours, and benefits
Assist guests with wine, meal, and dessert selections using informed descriptions
Demonstrate teamwork and cooperation with co-workers and vendors
Operate POS and TMX computer systems proficiently
Maintain proper uniform and footwear
Notify management immediately of guest issues, malfunctioning equipment, or unsafe conditions
Attend mandatory meetings and training
Perform additional duties as assigned such as cleaning and administrative projects
