Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience preferred
- Ability to maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to manage reservations and seating arrangements
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and menu items preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform cleaning duties

Job Duties
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to guests
- Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members
- Cheerfully and courteously greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating at tables
- Present menus and extend congenialities ensuring restaurant's standards of service
- Take, record and confirm restaurant reservations/cancellation as specified in departmental standards
- Assist in preparing the restaurant for service and maintaining the cleanliness of the dining room at all times
- Assist in monitoring the guests' needs and all phases of the restaurant operations
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant during absence of Restaurant Manager and/or Supervisor
- Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, specials, liquor/beer/non-alcoholic selections available in the restaurant
- Maintain good guest relations by keeping abreast of all in-house and area functions in order to answer questions and concerns with timely and knowledgeable responses
- Inspect tables and stations ensuring that all set ups meet the department standards
- Check throughout meal period
- Relay deficiencies to respective team members and follow up on corrections
- Answer restaurant telephone courteously and efficiently as specified in department standards
- Extend courteous departures as guests leave the restaurant
- Ensure tables are cleaned and reset according to standards
- Report any missing/found articles or equipment/property damage to the Housekeeping Supervisor
- Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management
