We are currently seeking a full-time Host/Hostess to join our front-of-house team. This role is vital in creating the first and lasting impression for all members and guests as they enter the dining area. The Host/Hostess will greet guests warmly, manage the seating arrangements efficiently, and communicate effectively with both the service staff and kitchen to ensure a smooth and pleasant dining flow. This position offers a competitive pay range of $21 to $23 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, and includes seasonal benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid time off, complimentary employee meals, and uniforms.
The ideal candidate for the Host/Hostess position at Alpine Country Club will be a personable and professional individual with at least one year of food service or hosting experience, preferably in a fine dining setting. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential, as is a tech-savvy approach to managing reservations, seating charts, and orders using POS systems and other software. The role requires a positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. As hospitality is at the core of our service, the Host/Hostess must demonstrate a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations and contribute to an atmosphere of warmth and professionalism.
In addition to greeting and seating guests, the host will handle reservation management, provide accurate wait times during busy periods, and assist with phone inquiries and to-go orders. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the host area and dining room, monitoring guest satisfaction, and responding courteously to any concerns are also important responsibilities. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, split shifts, and extended hours is required, as is the physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 pounds.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year experience in food service or hosting, preferably in fine dining
