Job Description
The Rooftop Bar at Mission Pacific offers North County San Diego's first rooftop dining experience, bringing an elevated atmosphere combined with stunning views and a dynamic dining menu.
As an establishment owned and operated by Hyatt, renowned globally for hospitality excellence, this bar provides a menu inspired by the flavors of Baja along with a wide selection of craft cocktails. This unique destination attracts a diverse clientele seeking a memorable meal and social experience with friends and family. Hyatt’s brand commitment to quality and service excellence is evident in every aspect of the rooftop venue, making it a premier spot for both locals and visitors.
The greeter position at The Rooftop Bar is a vital role within the service team. As the first point of contact for guests, greeters—often referred to as hosts or hostesses—are responsible for creating a welcoming and friendly first impression. Their primary task is to manage seating arrangements efficiently, ensuring smooth flow throughout the dining area. Greeters also support the guest experience by offering knowledgeable menu recommendations and answering initial questions guests may have. The role is highly visible and interactive, requiring excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to remain poised in a fast-paced environment.
This role is seasonal, providing a fantastic opportunity for those looking to gain experience in a hospitality environment with a reputable brand like Hyatt. The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $18.50, and Hyatt provides an attractive benefits package for employees, including colleague discounts, holiday pay, complimentary meals, along with other perks designed to support the well-being and satisfaction of team members.
In addition to greeting guests and managing seating, greeters may also assist with other duties such as rolling silverware or maintaining cleanliness of the entrance area, depending on the business's operational needs. This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods and lift items up to 25 pounds, making fitness and endurance important traits for candidates.
Joining The Rooftop Bar team means becoming part of a collaborative and dedicated group striving to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences. With Hyatt’s well-established presence and commitment to employee development, greeters can anticipate not only hands-on training but also opportunities to grow within the hospitality industry.
This position is perfect for individuals with a passion for customer service and a desire to thrive in an energetic, high-volume dining environment while enjoying the benefits and recognition of working with a globally respected hotel brand. The role emphasizes refined communication skills and a genuine interest in enhancing guest satisfaction from the moment they walk through the door.
