The role of Host/Hostess at Main Event - Atlanta is a critical position as it sets the first impression guests have upon entering the establishment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Basic knowledge of reservation systems or willingness to learn
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Friendly and approachable personality

Job Duties

  • Greet each guest and facilitate the guest experience by welcoming them in a friendly and professional manner
  • Escort the guests to their table
  • Communicate guest concerns to the manager as appropriate
  • Manage competing demands with patience and grace
  • Ensure the guests are acknowledged when leaving the establishment
  • Answer the telephone within two rings using proper telephone etiquette
  • Accept and organize reservations and prioritize reservations to accommodate guests
  • Manage the wait list
  • Prepare seating assignments prior to service
  • Help fellow team members when appropriate
  • Uphold the companys processes and procedures
  • Organize, stock, and clean the front area
  • Complete any beginning or closing shift duties
