Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
6 months of relevant work experience in fine dining preferred
ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
ability to perform simple mathematics
politeness and positive attitude
ability to work well under pressure
ability to provide top-notch customer service
willingness to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification
clear communication skills
ability to stand and walk for extended periods
ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
ability to reach with hands and arms

ability to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch frequently

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact
escort guests to assigned dining areas
present menus
announce waiters name
offer choice of seating based on guest party size and server availability
inform guests of current promotions and who will be serving them for smooth handoff
engage with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service
read, maintain and make daily entries in the logbook to coordinate communication between shifts and management
maintain proper set-up of the dining room
remain knowledgeable of the menu
receive, record and make arrangements for reservations and special functions
keep host station neat and organized
perform any other job related duties as assigned
