Job Description

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is a premier hospitality company known for operating America’s largest indoor waterparks and African-inspired resorts. Committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences, Kalahari Resorts offers world-class dining, luxurious spas, thrilling entertainment, and state-of-the-art convention centers. The company prides itself on fostering a warm and welcoming environment where guests feel valued and experiences are crafted to be unforgettable. Family-owned and deeply rooted in its core values, Kalahari’s Promise is to Lead with Love — a philosophy that emphasizes care, respect, and community engagement. As part of this commitment, Kalahari partners with charity: water to bring clean water to one million people in Africa, demonstrating its dedication to making a positive impact beyond the hospitality industry.

The Host/ess position at Double Cut Steak House, one of Kalahari’s upscale dining venues, is a vital role focused on creating a warm and friendly atmosphere from the moment guests arrive. This role is designed to ensure smooth and efficient seating of guests while maintaining a high standard of service throughout their dining experience. A successful Host/ess at Double Cut Steak House embodies Kalahari’s values by leading with love — guiding and inspiring the team, supporting associates, and delivering exceptional hospitality that exceeds guest expectations.

In this role, the Host/ess manages guest interactions with a sincere smile and responsiveness, controls the seating rotation to balance guest preferences and efficiency, and helps set a positive tone for the visit. Coordination with servers and other team members is key to maintaining a seamless dining environment. Beyond direct guest interaction, the Host/ess also handles telephone communication with professionalism, answering inquiries and providing information with proper Kalahari Resort verbiage. This full-time role typically requires experience in a high-volume, upscale dining setting and familiarity with reservation and point-of-sale systems, such as Open Table.

Kalahari Resorts offers a supportive workplace culture where career growth is a priority. Associates enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as 401(k) matching and paid time off. The company fosters a climate of innovation and continuous learning through education assistance programs and frequent employee appreciation events, discounts, and perks at all resort locations. Recognized by Forbes as one of America's Best Midsize Employers and by USA TODAY as the #1 Best Indoor Water Park, Kalahari encourages team members to thrive and contribute to creating meaningful guest experiences every day.
