Job Requirements
- Must have and maintain an active Handlers' Card (ServSafe)
- Must adhere to local food handler requirements
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to handle constant food preparation tasks
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing less than 10-12 pounds constantly
- Ability to frequently lift and carry objects between 21-30 pounds
- Occasionally lift objects over 40 pounds with assistance
- Good or correctable vision
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, and kneeling required
- Good balance for safely performing assigned tasks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience in a food service operation or customer service role
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent culinary skills
- Strong communication, time and resource management abilities
- Proven customer service expertise
- Professional appearance
- Ability to lead a team
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation in the workplace
- Ability to move throughout the café and kitchen
- Ability to wipe down tables, booth seats and pick up debris
Job Duties
- Accommodates special needs of guests
- Inspects dining room service stations for neatness and cleanliness
- Prepares beverages and expedites food orders
- Monitors the number of guests entering and exiting the café
- Stocks and restocks utensils, plates, and glasses in the service area
- Uses carts to transport utensils, glassware, plates, and food
- Acts as host/hostess for guests by taking orders and setting/resetting tables with place settings
- Follows safety and sanitation procedures as per OSHA and Department of Public Health guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned
