The available role focuses on providing exceptional customer service in the restaurant setting within PENN Entertainment's diverse resort properties, where the pace is lively and the environment is constantly evolving. The role requires the individual to be the first point of contact for guests, greeting and welcoming with warmth and professionalism. Responsibilities include managing seating rotations, maintaining reservation records, monitoring table availability, and ensuring cleanliness and order in the dining area according to health and safety standards. The position also involves supporting servers and bussers by replenishing beverages, pre-bussing and bussing tables, and attending promptly to guest needs, contributing to a seamless guest experience. In addition to these operational duties, employees are expected to be knowledgeable about current casino programs and events to provide accurate directions and engaging recommendations to guests.
This job demands excellent communication skills, the ability to operate point-of-sale systems, and the capacity to handle cash accurately. Physical requirements include mobility with the ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds, reaching above and below shoulders, bending, stooping, and maintaining good posture over extended hours. The role adapts to fast-paced, sometimes noisy and crowded settings where attentiveness and professionalism are crucial. Candidates must meet company appearance standards and be prepared to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience in a high-volume operation preferred
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Able to work on a POS system
- Able to count cash
- Excellent customer service communication skills
- Available to work required schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
- Must meet professional appearance standards prescribed by company policy
- Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
- Must be able to reach above and below the shoulder, grip small items, bend, stoop and twist while carrying restaurant stock
- Able to reach across tables
- Able to stand and walk for up to four hours
- Able to use hand motions when cleaning and wiping menus and tabletops
- Must tolerate industry standard cleaning chemicals
- Able to tolerate noise and bright lights
- Able to work at a fast pace in a crowded noisy environment
- Must maintain neat, professional appearance and posture throughout shift
- Physically mobile including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs
- Able to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance during job duties
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Providing fast, friendly, professional and responsive customer service to restaurant guests and staff
- Greeting and welcoming each guest entering the restaurant
- Seating guests according to specified rotation requirements
- Maintaining proper seating and reservation documentation
- Monitoring restaurant for table availability
- Keeping designated working area clean and organized, assisting in maintaining cleanliness of dining room and cashiering area as required
- Assisting servers and bussers by refilling water glasses and coffee cups, pre-bussing and bussing tables, and attending to guest needs
- Completing all assigned closing duties at end of shift
- Promoting current casino events and programs and giving guests directions to all casino areas
- Thanking customers, inviting them back, and making it easy for them to return
