The role of a Host/Hostess at The Lofton Hotel is a critical front-of-house position that plays an essential part in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This position involves greeting guests as they arrive, managing reservations, seating arrangements, and providing information about menus and specials. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for restaurant patrons and will set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Job Duties
- Meet and greet guests as they arrive
- gather guest information such as name and check reservations or log them in
- politely escort guests to tables and provide menus and wine lists
- inform guests of specials and server assignments
- record and manage restaurant reservations and special functions
- act as cashier for the dining room
- thank guests graciously and invite them to return
- assist with banquet event orders and set up
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant area and uphold personal hygiene
