Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
experience in a similar role or industry is preferred
strong interpersonal and communication skills
well-developed problem-solving abilities
ability to work flexible shifts and overtime
ability to lift, push or pull up to 25 pounds
capability to stand, walk, and bend frequently throughout the shift

ability to seek out new methods and incorporate them into existing practices
ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
punctual and reliable
flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime if necessary

Job Duties

Takes reservations and assists in organizing tables and room layout according to reservations
greets and seats members as they arrive to the Club and brings menus to them
assists servers and bussers with anything they need such as bread, butter, water, reset tables
directs flow of traffic both to dining rooms and other areas of the Club
maintains all menus, ensuring they are clean and current
thanks members and guests and invites them to return
keeps mint jars stocked for members
keeps hostess stand and surrounding area clean
performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager
attends pre-meal meetings as requested by the Food and Beverage Manager or Manager on Duty
follows the Club's mission and values, including providing the best quality service possible
other duties as assigned
