Job Description
Fogo de Chão is a renowned Brazilian steakhouse chain committed to delivering an authentic dining experience that celebrates the rich tradition of Churrasco, the art of Brazilian grilling. Recognized for its warm hospitality and culinary excellence, Fogo de Chão provides guests with a unique journey of discovery where the highest quality meats are freshly grilled and served tableside by seasoned Gaucho chefs. The company operates with a strong emphasis on team spirit, integrity, excellence, humility, and a supportive culture encapsulated by their mantra 'Deixa Comigo' — meaning 'we've got you'. This approach fosters a welcoming environment not only for guests but also for the team, encouraging growth, fulfillment, and purposeful careers.
Now hiring immediately for the position of Host / Hostess / Greeter, Fogo de Chão offers an inviting opportunity for individuals who enjoy engaging with people and making a positive first impression. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the front of the house by warmly greeting guests, managing seating arrangements efficiently, and maintaining a clean, organized lobby. Hosts and hostesses at Fogo de Chão embody the brand’s mission to ignite joy and care for both guests and team members alike. They play an essential part in setting the tone of the dining experience, making every guest feel welcomed and valued from the moment they enter until their departure.
The role involves managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and requires excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to work collaboratively with the entire restaurant team. Candidates must be able to handle physical demands such as standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 pounds. Schedule flexibility is essential as working on weekends and holidays is required. Fogo de Chão values its team members and provides comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time hourly employees. Life insurance and short-term disability coverage are company-paid, and a suite of voluntary benefits such as critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident coverage, permanent life, and pet insurance is also available.
Part-time team members are not left behind, receiving access to minimum essential health coverage alongside dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance plans. Voluntary benefits including pet insurance, legal services, and ID protection are also offered, with the coverage beginning as early as the first of the month following employment. Fogo de Chão’s commitment to equal opportunity and E-Verify compliance highlights its dedication to a diverse and inclusive workforce.
Joining Fogo de Chão as a Host / Hostess / Greeter means becoming part of a company that not only delivers an exceptional dining experience to guests but also feeds a purposeful future for its team. This position provides a solid foundation for professional advancement within the hospitality industry while embracing a workplace culture that values everyone’s contributions and well-being.
