The company is deeply committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where the team and guests alike feel valued and cared for. This dedication extends beyond the dining table to the well-being and professional growth of its employees. Fogo de Chao’s mission is to ignite fire and joy in all aspects of their operation, emphasizing teamwork, integrity, humility, and excellence.
At Fogo de Chao, we believe that better futures begin when everyone brings their best to the table, creating meaningful connections and purpose-driven workdays. The company prides itself on offering fulfilling career opportunities with ample pathways for both personal and professional development at every level. Fogo de Chao’s core values—teamwork, integrity, excellence, humility, and the spirit of "Deixa Comigo" (meaning "we’ve got you")—define the culture, ensuring that every team member feels supported and empowered.
This opportunity is for the position of Host / Hostess / Greeter, integral to setting the tone for an exceptional guest experience. The role is focused on warmly welcoming guests, managing seating arrangements fluidly, and maintaining an organized front lobby environment. As the first face guests see upon arriving at the restaurant, the Host / Hostess / Greeter embodies the hospitality spirit of Fogo de Chao by ensuring each patron feels recognized and valued from the moment they enter.
The position also requires handling multiple competing demands with professionalism and grace, including greeting guests, seating them efficiently, and bidding them a friendly farewell upon departure. This role is key to sustaining the smooth flow of service and contributing to an enjoyable and memorable dining experience. Responsibilities extend to performing opening and closing shift duties, ensuring the front lobby is clean, stocked, and inviting throughout the shift.
Employment for this position is immediate and offers competitive hourly wages starting at $21.30 and up to $25.30, depending on relevant work experience. The position requires the ability to stand for long periods, transport objects weighing up to 25 pounds, and work at a quick pace, including availability on weekends and holidays, making it a dynamic and engaging role for those who thrive in fast-paced hospitality environments.
Fogo de Chao offers a robust benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time hourly team members after 60 days of employment. Additionally, the company provides life insurance and short-term disability coverage where applicable. There are also voluntary benefits like critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident coverage, permanent life, and pet insurance options.
Part-time team members receive access to a Minimum Essential Coverage health plan alongside dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance, with coverage potentially starting as early as the first month after hiring. Voluntary benefits for part-time members include pet insurance, legal coverage, and ID protection. Fogo de Chao is an Equal Opportunity and E Verify Employer, committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees can flourish.
