Job Description

Fogo de Chao is a renowned Brazilian steakhouse chain that is dedicated to delivering an exceptional dining experience by showcasing the Culinary Art of Churrasco. With a rich tradition of fire-roasted meats and an inviting atmosphere, Fogo de Chao has become a favorite destination for guests seeking both quality and authenticity in their meal. Founded on a mission to ignite fire and joy, Fogo de Chao prioritizes caring for its team, guests, and the communities it serves. This commitment extends beyond food, focusing on fostering a culture where teamwork, integrity, excellence, humility, and mutual support (expressed in their value of Deixa Comigo, meaning "we've got you") are central to daily operations.

Fogo de Chao believes that better futures start by bringing their best to the table every day—not only for their guests but importantly for their team members. They offer fulfilling job opportunities that allow employees to grow both professionally and personally, making space so everyone feels welcome. Working at Fogo means being part of a team dedicated to feeding a purposeful future rooted in shared values and continuous learning.

The role of Host/Hostess/Greeter at Fogo de Chao is essential in creating an inviting and memorable first impression for guests. This position requires a friendly and professional demeanor, as the individual will be the first point of contact for guests arriving at the restaurant. The host is responsible for greeting guests warmly, facilitating a smooth check-in process, and seating guests at appropriate tables to ensure an excellent dining flow. Additional responsibilities include managing the front lobby area by organizing, stocking, and cleaning throughout the shift to maintain a welcoming environment.

This role demands the ability to handle competing priorities efficiently and to bid farewell to guests in a manner that encourages repeat visits. The position also involves completing various shift duties associated with opening and closing the restaurant. Candidates for this position must be able to work at a fast pace, stand for extended periods, and be capable of transporting objects up to 25 pounds. Weekend and holiday work availability is also required, reflecting the dynamic and guest-focused nature of the hospitality industry.

Fogo de Chao values its employees by extending a comprehensive benefits package. Full-time hourly team members become eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance beginning the first of the month after completing 60 days of employment. The company further supports its workforce with company-paid life insurance and short-term disability coverage where allowed. Employees may also opt into a voluntary benefits package that includes critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident coverage, permanent life, and pet insurance.

Part-time team members have access to a minimum essential coverage (MEC) health plan along with dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance, with coverage starting as early as the first of the month following hire. Voluntary benefits such as pet insurance, legal services, and identity protection are also available to part-time employees. Fogo de Chao operates as an Equal Opportunity and E-Verify employer committed to creating an inclusive workplace where all team members can thrive. The Host/Hostess/Greeter role at Fogo de Chao is not only a job but an opportunity to be part of a team committed to excellent service, professional development, and community engagement in a vibrant restaurant setting.
