The company prides itself on delivering perfect plates and exceptional hospitality to its guests, reflecting the vision and legacy of its founder, Bob Evans. With a stable presence across various locations, Bob Evans offers not just a meal but an experience that resonates with family traditions and wholesome dining. This company is committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment and participates in E-Verify to ensure compliance with employment standards.
The Host Cashier position at Bob Evans carries great responsibility in setting the tone for each guest’s visit. This role is vital in maintaining smooth restaurant operations, managing guest flow, and ensuring customer satisfaction from the moment guests are greeted to when they finish their meal. The ideal candidate will be friendly, personable, and attentive, with a strong ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced dining environment. Managing the front-of-house activities such as greeting guests, escorting them to their tables, distributing menus, and monitoring wait times falls under the core duties. Additionally, Host Cashiers play an active role in supporting cleanliness and safety, including checking restrooms and keeping the lobby, bakery, and retail areas tidy.
This entry-level to mid-level job offers an hourly wage up to $15.00 depending on experience with restaurant concepts, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals seeking flexible scheduling and a healthy work-life balance with no late-night shifts. Employees enjoy the benefit of early close shifts, which contributes to career longevity and overall well-being. Beyond competitive pay, Bob Evans also offers excellent benefits, including health and welfare benefits, a 401(k) plan with employer match, and opportunities for career development and growth within the company.
This position requires excellent guest service skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle monetary transactions accurately. Candidates should be comfortable using POS systems and communicating effectively with guests to ensure a positive dining experience. The role suits individuals who are reliable team players, able to resolve issues professionally, and committed to delivering great customer service.
Physically, Host Cashiers must be prepared to stand and walk for the entirety of their shift, perform lifting tasks up to 50 pounds, and navigate all areas of the restaurant including the sales floor and stock areas. The job also demands good visual acuity and the ability to communicate clearly with customers and coworkers. Bob Evans continues to adhere strictly to updated CDC and local health guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and guests.
Overall, joining Bob Evans as a Host Cashier means becoming part of a vibrant team that values dedication, respect, and community spirit while providing robust employee benefits and a pathway for career progression. It’s an excellent role for those passionate about customer service and eager to grow within a reputable foodservice organization.
