The Host Cashier role at Bob Evans is an essential front-of-house position that directly influences guest satisfaction and overall restaurant flow. This position offers an hourly wage up to $15.00 depending on the candidate’s prior restaurant concept experience. The host cashier is the friendly face guests encounter upon arrival and the organizer who ensures seating arrangements run smoothly and efficiently. Job Requirements
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Ability to accurately handle money and process credit card transactions

Job Duties
- Greet guest in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner and escort guests to tables
- Monitors guests' needs and the flow of the restaurant and seats guests accordingly
- Delivers the appropriate number of menus, kid packs if needed when seating guests
- Performs restroom checks, answers phone, keeps lobby, bakery and retail areas clean of debris, and keeps the general work area stocked and cleaned
- Practices safe food and beverage handling
- Communicates and interacts with guests, can handle crowds, and puts guests at ease while they wait for their table or carryout order
- Shows guests you care and asks them about their dining experience
- Effectively handles guest complaints and involves manager at appropriate time
- Handles cash and credit transactions
- accurately accounts for all receivables including cash, credit cards, and gift cards
- Assists in marketing, promotional services and situational selling, such as communicating new promotions, products, or marketing information to guest
- Clears, sanitizes, and sets tables as needed
- Manages guests wait times by working with managers to quote accurate wait times
- May be asked to assist in other job categories as well
- All other duties as assigned
