Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 6 months of host experience preferred
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience required
  • must be at least 21 years of age
  • Washington Food Handler Card
  • MAST Certification

Job Duties

  • Walk around your complete area and make sure it is ready for service
  • check computer for guest reservations for day/evening and phone messages
  • prepare menus ensuring they are accurate and clean
  • welcome and greet guests with eye contact and a friendly demeanor
  • answer phones promptly and make reservations as needed
  • determine guest seating preferences and manage waitlists
  • ensure equitable seating for service staff
  • check reservations and coordinate private parties
  • use Tok system to manage reservations
  • coordinate seating rotation among servers
  • open and close checks in Micros as needed
  • assist servers with food and beverage service
  • anticipate and respond promptly to guest needs
  • maintain positive guest relations
  • monitor cleanliness and organization of service areas
  • enforce no outside liquor/beverage policy
  • assist with opening and closing duties
  • follow supervisor instructions and be a team player
  • assist in other departments as needed
  • buss tables when required and ensure host area coverage during breaks
  • complete other duties assigned by management
  • stock ice bins and operate glass washer efficiently
  • cut garnishments properly
  • set up requisitions for lounge supplies
  • stock adequate glasses for shift
  • empty garbage cans regularly
  • wipe down bar areas and tables
  • sweep floors as needed
  • stock and clean liquor room
  • set up and take down happy hour food displays
  • remove bus pans
  • assist bartenders and cocktail servers with service
  • help decorate lounge for promotions
