We are currently seeking a Host/Hostess who embodies hospitality, friendliness, and efficiency to join our team. The primary responsibility of the host/hostess is to greet guests warmly and in a timely manner upon their arrival, setting the tone for their dining experience. This role involves managing the front-of-house environment by seating guests, presenting menus, coordinating wait lists, and maintaining an organized floor plan with keen attention to detail. The host/hostess will act as an intermediary between guests and servers by answering initial questions and providing necessary information until the server arrives. This position demands excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
Candidates for this role should be prepared to stand for the duration of their shift, frequently reach, bend, stoop, and be able to carry light weights up to 15 lbs. While prior restaurant experience is not required, a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. The successful host/hostess will demonstrate superb verbal and written communication abilities and be adept at managing guest interactions in a positive, professional manner.
