The role at hand covers both Front of the House and Back of the House duties, requiring a versatile, energetic, and proactive team member. As a key staff member, you will be expected to greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they receive all the necessary accommodations tailored to their needs, such as special menus or seating arrangements. You will manage the hostess area with cleanliness and orderliness, handle telephone inquiries, take to-go orders accurately, and assist with beverage service. Customer satisfaction is paramount, and part of your responsibility will involve resolving complaints or issues promptly and professionally, ensuring any feedback is relayed to management appropriately. Payment collection, table bussing, and maintenance of the service areas are also integral components of this position.
Equally important are the responsibilities on the Back of the House side, which include packaging to-go orders with 100 percent accuracy, expediting dine-in orders to maintain timely service, preparing beverages to aid waitstaff efficiency, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of supplies. Your role contributes directly to both the swift service delivery and the overall dining ambiance.
Candidates must possess superior customer service and communication skills, with strong abilities in multitasking, organization, and attention to detail. Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills are essential, as is the dexterity to handle cash transactions securely and confidently. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer service or restaurant environment preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
- Suggesting new menu items from our limited time offerings
- Cleaning, completing side work, and organizing supplies as needed
- Proactively assisting other team members without being asked
- Providing total guest satisfaction
- Greets and welcomes all customers immediately upon arrival and verifies the number in their party
- Determines special needs, e.g., high-chairs, special menus
- Seats customers at tables/booths appropriate for their needs and those of the restaurant and introduces feature of the day
- Keeps hostess area stocked and clean, e.g., to-go items and bakery products
- Handles incoming telephone calls immediately and takes to go orders as appropriate
- Maintains proper supply of clean menus
- Periodically supplies customers with initial beverage suggestions and provides beverage order and refills
- Resolves complaints as he/she becomes aware of them, notifying the manager of any complaints received
- Collects payment from customers immediately, in accordance with established cash handling procedures, inquiries about food/service satisfaction and handles customer complaints/suggestions appropriately
- Busses and cleans guest tables in the dining room
- Delivers trays of dirty dishware to dish-room and stocks service area with clean dishware
- Package to-go orders ensuring 100% accuracy with food, beverages, and accompaniments
- Complete the sign off process on all To-Go receipts
- Expedite Dine-In orders ensuring 100% accuracy and proper positioning of food on the service trays
- Prepare drinks for the waitstaff to help improve Speed of Service and table turns
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned
