Job Description

Orchard Cove is a renowned senior living community that prides itself on delivering exceptional care and hospitality to its residents. As an upscale establishment, Orchard Cove combines a warm, family-like atmosphere with professional standards, aiming to enhance the quality of life for seniors through attentive service and a supportive environment. Catering specifically to geriatric care, the community invests in highly trained personnel who are knowledgeable about the unique needs and preferences of its residents. The dining experience is a key aspect of resident satisfaction, with a focus on nourishment, social interaction, and comfort. Each member of the hospitality team plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards of service that define Orchard Cove.

The Host/Hostess position at Orchard Cove is central to ensuring a pleasant dining experience for both residents and their guests. This on-site role requires someone who can professionally and courteously greet all guests, manage seating arrangements, and coordinate the activities of food servers to uphold a smooth and enjoyable dining atmosphere. The individual must be familiar with local and state food safety and sanitation regulations including food allergens, and actively communicate residents' dietary needs and preferences to culinary management. Managing reservations and guest check accuracy falls under the Host/Hostess's responsibilities, as does supervising dining room staff and acting as a frontline representative of Orchard Cove’s commitment to resident satisfaction. This role not only involves operational duties but also leadership, an ability to work cohesively with various departments such as Marketing and Front Desk, and a deep interest in geriatric care aligned with the community's cultural values. The position offers a salary range between $35,692.80 and $53,539.20 and requires flexible work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of one year experience in upscale hospitality settings, relevant food safety certifications, and the skills to manage a diverse team effectively. Overall, this position is a blend of hospitality, compliance, leadership, and resident-focused care, designed for individuals committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors.
