Job Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs
- able to work in hot and cold environments
- ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time up to 8 hours per shift
- frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping
- manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology systems
- ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment
- visual ability to include distance, close, color, depth and peripheral
- ability to adjust focus as needed
- ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
- responsible beverage service certification for California-based employees within 60 days of start date
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in a customer service or restaurant environment is advantageous
- basic knowledge of food and beverage service
- ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- teamwork and interpersonal skills
- understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- California Responsible Beverage Service Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Job Duties
- Makes memorable first and last impressions with a smile
- greets incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner
- seats guests in the dining and bar areas while ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff
- coordinates wait and seats guests with a sense of urgency
- busses tables, delivers food and supports the dining room
- demonstrates teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as business needs arise
- answers the phone in a prompt and professional manner and directs calls
