We are currently seeking a Host Person to join our dynamic team. This position is essential in setting the tone for a guest's visit by providing a warm and inviting first impression. The Host Person role primarily involves managing reservations, seating assignments, and guest communications to ensure the restaurant operates smoothly during service hours. Responsibilities include greeting guests promptly with a friendly and professional attitude, handling reservations and waitlists accurately, escorting guests to their tables, and providing up-to-date information about wait times. This role requires coordination with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to facilitate an efficient seating flow and timely service. The Host Person will also utilize reservation software such as OpenTable to manage bookings, answer phone inquiries regarding reservations or restaurant information, and maintain cleanliness and organization in guest-facing areas such as the host stand and waiting area.

In addition to these core duties, the Host Person will support service staff during peak times by assisting with light tasks like resetting tables, stocking menus, and ensuring guest areas remain tidy. The position involves attentiveness to the dining room environment to help manage guest satisfaction and swiftly address any concerns. The role also includes assisting with special guest requests, celebrations, and accommodations, contributing to a personalized and exceptional dining experience. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, occasional bending and stooping, and the ability to carry trays or equipment when necessary. Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends, holidays, and both day and evening hours is essential.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous customer service or restaurant experience is a plus but not required

  • must tolerate prolonged periods of standing walking occasional kneeling bending and stooping
  • must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds as needed to carry trays of food
  • ability to bend reach and move quickly in a high-traffic environment
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain composed under pressure
  • must tolerate exposure to cleaning solutions

Job Duties
