Job Duties

  • Uphold the Fairmont Breakers values and mission statement while performing positional responsibilities
  • Adhere to company policy and procedures, as stated in the company handbook
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Interact with arriving and departing guests
  • Answer the phone using company standards and etiquette
  • Take, record, and confirm with accuracy restaurant reservations in accordance with the reservation guidelines
  • Use the Open Table system to input bookings and track guest progress throughout the meal service periods
  • Use clear and concise communication with the assistants, servers, bartenders and the managers regarding the needs of the guests
  • Escort guests to the appropriate table in the dining room
  • Act as point of contact between guests and leadership
  • Engage and interact with guests to create a friendly, attentive, and memorable dining experience
  • Tailor guest experience
  • Be familiar with all menu items and aspects and services of the property
  • Assist in cleaning, clearing and setting tables
  • Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant
  • Be familiar with all food outlets and amenities within the property
  • May assist with inventory and requisition forms
  • Be knowledgeable of general city information as well as hotel history
  • Be an ambassador for the department, the property and the brand
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance
  • Other duties as assigned
