In this role, the Host at 42 Bar and Table plays a critical part in shaping the guest experience by providing exceptional customer service from the moment patrons enter the restaurant until their departure. The Host’s responsibilities include promptly greeting guests with a warm smile, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. Managing the overall flow of customers in the restaurant is essential, and the Host will handle seating arrangements efficiently and courteously. Beyond greeting and seating, this role may also involve supporting front-of-house operations such as ringing up orders, refilling beverages, setting tables, and maintaining clean eating and serving areas, contributing to the overall smooth running of the restaurant. The position demands a friendly, approachable demeanor and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The Host is also expected to accommodate special guest needs, such as arranging boosters, highchairs, or accommodating disabilities, enhancing accessibility and inclusiveness. Job Requirements
- You must have a Real ID or a Passport to work at the Foundation and access the NARA building
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of prior work experience in customer service positions
- Must be able to multi-task
- Ability to cope with varied and fast paced activities

Job Duties
- Greets guests with a smile when arriving and departing
- Accommodates any special needs of guests, i.e., boosters, highchairs, disabilities
- Maintains a wait list when the restaurant is full
- Answers phones and checks messages at least twice per day
- Takes reservations and takeout orders
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
- Cleans tables and work areas as assigned
- Complies with all policies and standards/procedures applicable to the position, including attendance, time, quality control, and other standards
