This customer-facing position is typically situated within one of the company’s premier dining venues or restaurants. The Host/Hostess represents the first touchpoint for guests and carries the responsibility of setting a positive tone for their entire visit. The role involves greeting guests warmly, managing reservations and waitlists efficiently, coordinating guest seating to optimize flow, and supporting the overarching service goals of the establishment. - High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous customer service or restaurant experience preferred but not required
- ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift and carry heavy objects occasionally
- ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- excellent communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous customer service or restaurant experience preferred but not required
- experience in hospitality, hotels, restaurants, private clubs, performing arts venues, or entertainment venues is a plus
- ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
- outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
- excellent communication and telephone etiquette
- strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- basic computer and reservation system experience preferred
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift and carry heavy objects occasionally
- frequent walking, reaching, bending, and light lifting
- ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
Job Duties
- Welcome guests with a friendly, professional, and engaging demeanor
- manage reservations, walk-in guests, and waitlists using the restaurant reservation system
- escort guests to their tables and provide menus as appropriate
- answer guest questions regarding menu offerings, restaurant amenities, and venue information
- thank guests upon departure and invite them to return
- coordinate seating assignments to maximize efficiency while maintaining excellent guest service
- communicate effectively with servers, managers, and culinary staff regarding table status and guest needs
