Job Description

Marriott International is a global leader in the hospitality industry, renowned for its dedication to providing exceptional guest experiences and fostering a dynamic and inclusive workplace for its associates. As one of the world’s most prominent hotel companies, Marriott offers a vast portfolio of brands catering to every type of traveler, from luxury to budget accommodations. The company is committed to equal opportunity employment, valuing the unique backgrounds, talents, and experiences of its diverse workforce. Marriott actively promotes non-discrimination and inclusive policies, ensuring all associates have access to opportunities for personal and professional growth. Marriott Hotels, a core brand within the company, aims to elevate the art of hospitality by innovating continually and prioritizing guest comfort and satisfaction worldwide.

The role of a Host at JW Marriott, part of Marriott International’s luxury portfolio, centers around creating a welcoming and effortless experience for guests as they enter the dining area. JW Marriott properties, located in key gateway cities and distinctive resorts around the world, embody luxury, comfort, and exemplary service standards. At JW Marriott, associates are at the heart of the operation because their wellbeing directly influences guest satisfaction. The Host serves as the initial point of contact for guests, greeting them warmly, managing seating arrangements, and ensuring that each patron feels valued and attended to from the moment they arrive.

This position involves guiding guests through the dining rooms, assisting with seating large groups or special needs parties, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the dining environment. The Host is responsible for checking that place settings meet high standards, ensuring menus are clean and current, and monitoring dining room safety and service quality. This role requires exceptional communication skills and a polished personal appearance to represent the JW Marriott brand professionally. It also demands physical stamina, as the Host will be on their feet for extended periods, moving furniture, and supporting dining staff as needed.

Working as a Host at JW Marriott offers associates the chance to be part of a global community inspired by the legacy of J. Willard Marriott. Employees benefit from a supportive and respectful workplace culture that fosters collaboration and teamwork. JW Marriott provides significant opportunities for training, development, and recognition, encouraging associates to pursue their passions while maintaining a focus on holistic wellbeing. The company’s approach to employee care is reflected in "The JW Treatment," a philosophy that prioritizes the happiness and growth of associates to ensure exceptional guest experiences. Joining JW Marriott means becoming part of a brand synonymous with luxury hospitality and unparalleled service, where one can grow professionally and contribute meaningfully to a world-class guest experience.
