Job Description
The Ritz-Carlton is a globally recognized luxury hospitality brand under Marriott International, known for setting the highest standards in guest services and establishing a worldwide reputation for excellence. Operating over 100 award-winning properties around the globe, The Ritz-Carlton prides itself on creating exceptional and memorable experiences for its guests. This esteemed hotel company fosters a culture of creativity, thoughtfulness, and compassion among its team members, who are affectionately called Ladies and Gentlemen. The company places a strong emphasis on diversity, equality, and inclusion, ensuring a welcoming environment for all employees regardless of their background and abiding strictly by non-discrimination policies based on disability, veteran status, or any other protected status under applicable law. Employees are valued for their unique talents and experiences, which contribute to the rich mosaic that defines the Ritz-Carlton legacy.
The role being offered is part-time and non-management, focusing on evening shifts within a casual dining environment located at 10 Avery St, Boston, Massachusetts. This position offers an hourly pay rate of $31.05 and is tip-eligible, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals seeking flexible work schedules in hospitality with competitive compensation. The job involves welcoming guests warmly and helping them find suitable seating while ensuring the dining area maintains impeccable cleanliness and organization. You will be responsible for greeting guests, determining the size of their parties, and seating them in clean, available tables equipped with the appropriate place settings, menus, and utensils. Assisting guests throughout the dining room and accommodating special seating arrangements are also critical to the role.
Moreover, maintaining work area cleanliness, adhering to safety and security policies, reporting incidents, and wearing a professional uniform and appearance are essential to the day-to-day responsibilities. As an ambassador of The Ritz-Carlton’s Gold Standards, you will represent the brand by exemplifying qualities such as respect, integrity, and excellence. Communication skills are vital, as is the ability to efficiently answer telephones, work collaboratively with fellow employees, and support team-oriented goals. Physical demands include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and handling objects up to 10 pounds without assistance. The position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent, but no prior related experience or certifications are necessary, making it an excellent opportunity for those new to hospitality or casual dining. This role not only emphasizes delivering outstanding guest service but also encourages associates to take pride in their contributions and be part of a renowned and respected hospitality network. Joining The Ritz-Carlton means becoming part of a global family committed to continuous improvement and upholding a tradition of rare and special luxury service that leaves lasting impressions on every guest.
