We are seeking a part-time non-management Host to join our dedicated team. This role is essential in shaping guests' first impressions and ensuring a welcoming, organized, and efficient dining experience. The Host will greet guests warmly, assist with seating arrangements, and maintain an orderly dining environment. This position requires attentiveness to detail, strong communication skills, and a friendly demeanor to support our commitment to customer satisfaction. As a Host, you will be the face of the dining service, guiding guests through the dining room, answering questions, managing table arrangements including special requests, and ensuring that all areas are clean and inviting throughout the day. This role involves standing, walking, and occasionally handling light tasks such as moving chairs and arranging table settings.

The job is located onsite at the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve, a prestigious location within Walt Disney World Resort that hosts a mix of leisure and business travelers. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, or push objects weighing up to 10 pounds
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to follow safety and security policies
  • Availability to work part-time
  • Willingness to perform other reasonable job duties as requested

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and determine the number in their party
  • Seat guests by finding clean and available tables
  • Pull out chairs and place clean/current menus in front of guests
  • Guide guests through dining rooms and provide assistance
  • Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings for special needs groups
  • Ensure place settings are appropriate and guests have clean silverware and napkins
  • Check menus to ensure they are clean, current, plentiful, and wrinkle-free
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and practice clean-as-you-go procedures
  • Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and report incidents
  • Ensure personal appearance and uniform are clean and professional
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests using company standards
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and staff
  • Support team goals and respond appropriately to employee concerns
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Move and handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors
