This particular opportunity is for a Part-Time Host position based in the vibrant location of 800 Washington Ave, Saint Louis, Missouri. This position is classified as non-management and is an ideal entry-level role for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and eager to build their careers in the food and beverage industry without prior related work or supervisory experience. Hosts are the first point of contact for guests entering the dining area and play an essential role in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

In this role, the host’s responsibilities include greeting guests, determining party sizes, and seating guests promptly at clean and available tables. The host ensures that all place settings are correctly arranged with clean silverware, napkins, and menus that are current, clean, and plentiful. Beyond seating guests, the host must assist guests through the dining rooms as required, move and arrange seating to accommodate special group needs, and maintain cleanliness in work areas by practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.

Hosts are also entrusted with monitoring the dining area for service standards, safety, and guest well-being while adhering strictly to company policies and safety regulations. They are responsible for reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions and must complete all safety training and certifications. The role requires excellent communication skills, including answering telephones professionally and developing positive working relationships with team members to ensure a cooperative working environment.

Physical requirements include the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and the capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
