This part-time, non-management Food and Beverage & Culinary team member position at The Ritz-Carlton in Coconut Grove involves welcoming guests, managing seating arrangements, and providing attentive assistance throughout their dining experience. The role requires maintaining clean, updated menus and table settings, organizing dining areas to accommodate groups with special needs, and ensuring all cutlery and serving items meet high standards of cleanliness and presentation. Maintaining the cleanliness of work areas throughout the day and adhering strictly to company safety policies and procedures are essential aspects of this role. Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Greet guests and determine the size of their group
- Indicate seating by offering clean, available tables and setting menus in front of each guest
- Guide guests through dining rooms and provide assistance as needed
- Move and arrange tables, chairs, and silverware to accommodate special group requirements
- Ensure appropriate cutlery and clean napkins are provided for each guest
- Check menus to confirm they are updated, clean, complete, and wrinkle-free
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day by following consistent cleaning procedures
- Monitor seating availability, service, guest safety, and well-being in dining areas
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures and report accidents or unsafe conditions to management
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance and protect company property
- Use clear and professional language when communicating with guests and coworkers
- Answer phone calls following the proper protocol
- Foster positive work relationships and support team goals
- Listen and respond appropriately to coworkers' concerns
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and expectations
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors
