Job Description
TGI Fridays is a renowned global restaurant chain known for its vibrant atmosphere, delicious American cuisine, and exceptional customer service. Established as a casual dining establishment, TGI Fridays emphasizes creating a welcoming environment where guests can enjoy a memorable dining experience. The Hanover-Arundel location, situated at 7655 Arundel Mills Blvd, Maryland, stands as a cornerstone of this brand, serving a diverse clientele with a commitment to quality and hospitality. The restaurant operates with a focus on providing friendly service, a lively ambiance, and a menu filled with signature drinks and dishes that cater to a range of tastes and preferences.
The role of the Host/Hostess at TGI Fridays Hanover-Arundel is pivotal in shaping the first and last impressions guests have during their visit. In this front-of-house position, you will be the face of the restaurant, responsible for greeting guests warmly, managing seating arrangements, and ensuring an efficient and pleasant flow through the dining and bar areas. This role demands excellent communication skills, a genuine willingness to create positive guest interactions, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Host/Hostess is also tasked with conveying promotions, answering calls, and coordinating smoothly with service staff to maintain the high standards TGI Fridays is known for.
Beyond the basic duties, this position calls for a proactive individual who pays attention to guest needs throughout the dining experience, ensuring drink refills and other special requests are handled promptly. The candidate must embody the Fridays Service Style, delivering consistency in all guest interactions and contributing to overall guest satisfaction scores. Working at TGI Fridays offers an engaging opportunity to be part of a team that values passion for hospitality, collaboration, and personal accountability. The establishment fosters an environment where every team member can contribute to a dynamic workplace culture and develop skills in salesmanship, stress tolerance, and teamwork.
This is a hospitality role ideally suited for individuals who thrive in social settings, enjoy meeting people, and possess a natural flair for creating positive experiences. It is a part-time or full-time opportunity (employment type and salary details are usually provided upon application or interview) offering comprehensive exposure to the vibrant restaurant industry. TGI Fridays also values flexibility and reliability, encouraging team members to take initiative and engage in continuous improvement to enhance both guest and staff experiences.
