Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • no related work experience required
  • no supervisory experience
  • ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and determine the number in their party
  • Seat guests by finding a clean, available table
  • guide guests through dining rooms and provide assistance
  • Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings for groups with special needs
  • Ensure place settings are appropriate and each guest has necessary items
  • Check menus to ensure they are current, clean, and plentiful
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and practice clean-as-you-go procedures
