Job Description

The Miami Beach EDITION is a luxurious hotel located at 2901 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, Florida. As part of Marriott International's portfolio, this property embodies the visionary genius of boutique hotelier Ian Schrager, combining world-class luxury service with a distinct and personalized experience. EDITION Hotels are designed to deliver the perfect balance of polish with personality, perfectionism with individualism, and comfort with charisma and charm. They cater to sophisticated and knowledgeable consumers who appreciate quality, originality, design, and exceptional service without limitations. The Miami Beach EDITION provides guests with an unforgettable hospitality experience that blends innovative design with top-tier service in one of the most vibrant locations in the world.

The role available at The Miami Beach EDITION is for a Part-Time Host/Hostess in the Food and Beverage department. This non-management position offers a competitive wage of $20.00 per hour with eligibility for tips and service charge compensation. As a Host or Hostess, you will be crucial in shaping the first impression guests experience when they arrive at the restaurant. Your primary responsibility will be to greet and welcome all guests warmly according to company standards, determining the number in their party, and seating them by finding a clean and available table. Attention to detail is essential as you will ensure all place settings are correct, menus are clean and current, and the dining environment is inviting and well-organized, including accommodating any special seating arrangements for guests with specific needs.

In this role, you will provide assistance by guiding guests through dining rooms, maintaining cleanliness of your work areas throughout the shift, and monitoring seating availability, service quality, and guest safety. The job entails standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, moving or arranging tables and chairs, and occasionally handling lightweight objects weighing up to 10 pounds. You will also uphold the highest standards of customer service by communicating clearly and professionally, answering phones with proper etiquette, and cooperating with your team to promote a positive work environment.

The Miami Beach EDITION is committed to offering a working atmosphere that inspires and challenges employees while fostering pride in their work. This role is perfect for individuals who are outgoing, authentic, and passionate about hospitality, looking to work in an environment where service comes from the heart, not just a handbook. By joining EDITION and Marriott International, you become part of a global team that values diversity, creativity, and dedication, supporting your growth towards becoming the best version of yourself. This opportunity ensures that you can make an impact on every guest's experience by contributing to a high-quality, memorable dining environment in an iconic luxury hotel setting.
