Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • No previous supervisory experience required
  • No license or certification required
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 10 pounds without assistance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines and company policies

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food and beverage environments preferred but not required

  • Basic knowledge of safety and hygiene practices

Job Duties

  • Receive and greet guests determining the number of guests in the group
  • Indicate seating for guests offering a clean and available table
  • Remove chairs and place clean and updated menus in front of each guest
  • Guide guests through the dining areas and assist them as needed
  • Move and arrange tables chairs and utensils and organize seating for groups with special needs
  • Ensure that utensils are appropriate and each guest has a napkin clean utensils and any other part of a standard place setting
  • Check menus to ensure they are updated clean complete and free of wrinkles
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day by following a constant cleaning procedure
  • Control seat availability service safety and well-being of guests in dining areas
  • Comply with all safety and company policies and procedures reporting accidents injuries and unsafe working conditions to the manager and completing safety trainings and certifications
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets
  • Receive and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
  • Speak clearly and professionally with others and answer phones using proper protocol
  • Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others supporting the team to achieve common goals and appropriately listen and respond to concerns of other employees
  • Ensure quality expectations and standards are met
  • Stand sit or walk for prolonged periods
  • Move lift transport push drag and place without assistance objects weighing 10 pounds or less
  • Perform other reasonable work duties as requested by supervisors
