With a vast portfolio of brands, Marriott offers employees not only a job but a career path filled with opportunities for growth, development, and engagement. The company embraces a culture that celebrates individuality and creativity, fostering an environment where every associate is empowered to contribute their unique talents to the collective success of the organization.

The role of a Host/Hostess at Gaylord Hotels is pivotal in shaping the guest experience from the very first interaction. This position is responsible for welcoming guests warmly, managing seating arrangements efficiently, and ensuring the dining environment is inviting and well-maintained. As the first point of contact in the dining area, Hosts/Hostesses play a vital role in setting the tone for the guest's visit by providing attentive, courteous, and proactive service. They are tasked with guiding guests through the dining rooms, assisting with special seating needs, and maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of dining spaces.

In addition to guest interaction, the Host/Hostess supports operational efficiency by monitoring dining room availability, adhering to company safety standards, and maintaining professional appearance and conduct. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, clear communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to ensure seamless service delivery.

Employment with Gaylord Hotels offers a unique blend of hospitality expertise and career advancement opportunities. The position is ideally suited for individuals who enjoy dynamic work environments, value teamwork, and are committed to enhancing guest satisfaction through excellent service. The role does not require previous work experience, making it an excellent entry point for careers in hospitality. It also encourages personal growth and development within the vast Marriott International ecosystem.

The company actively cultivates an inclusive workplace where every associate feels respected and empowered. By joining Gaylord Hotels, candidates become part of a global family dedicated to delivering extraordinary experiences and fostering a culture of excellence and respect.

Candidates for the Host/Hostess position should anticipate engaging in various tasks such as seating guests, managing table settings, overseeing menu quality, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the service areas. Physical stamina is important as the role involves standing, walking, moving furniture, and handling light lifting. The Host/Hostess is expected to adhere strictly to safety protocols and contribute positively to the team environment.

Joining Gaylord Hotels means more than taking a job—it means embarking on a career journey where you are encouraged to be your best self, embrace your purpose, belong to a supportive and dynamic team, and grow within a globally recognized hospitality brand.
