Job Description
Oak View Group (OVG) stands as a global leader in the realm of premium live entertainment infrastructure and services. Since its establishment in 2015, OVG has built a formidable presence across four continents, managing a diverse portfolio that encompasses seven world-class owned venues alongside a prestigious client roster of arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions. The company's integrated platform spans venue development and offers end-to-end capabilities that include venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. This makes OVG a powerhouse in delivering unparalleled experiences within the live entertainment industry, dedicated to innovation and excellence in all aspects of its operation.
As part of its dynamic team, the role of Host is pivotal in shaping the guest experience within OVG's dining venues. This position is often the first point of contact for guests and plays a critical role in fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere that guests will remember. The Host's responsibilities revolve around greeting guests, managing reservations and waitlists efficiently, coordinating seating arrangements, and supporting the seamless flow of service across the restaurant or dining venue. With an hourly wage ranging from $19.00 to $22.00, this role is both rewarding and integral to maintaining OVG's high standards of hospitality.
The Host position demands exceptional customer service skills coupled with organizational dexterity to ensure efficient seating and communication between front-of-house staff and culinary teams. Beyond handling reservations and guest arrivals, the Host also provides essential information about menus, restaurant amenities, and the broader venue, contributing to an enriched guest experience. Effective communication with servers, managers, and kitchen staff is essential to ensure that service runs smoothly and guest needs are met promptly.
A typical day for the Host includes monitoring dining room activity to maintain balanced server sections, updating wait times, assisting in setting up and resetting the dining room, and supporting administrative tasks related to guest services. The role also involves answering telephone inquiries and assisting with special event or VIP guest experiences, highlighting its versatility and importance within the hospitality team.
Oak View Group values diversity and inclusivity, recognizing that a multicultural workforce drives innovation and elevates service quality. The company is committed to equal employment opportunity and promotes an environment where all voices are heard and respected, reflecting the diverse communities it serves. Hiring for the Host position aligns with this ethos by seeking individuals who embody professionalism, warmth, and dedication to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality and eager to grow within a globally recognized leader in live entertainment venues. Full-time roles come with competitive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching, paid vacation, sick days, and eleven holidays, promoting a healthy work-life balance and comprehensive support for employees. The position remains open until October 23, 2026, offering an inviting and stable career path within this cutting-edge company.
