As a Host at Cunningham Restaurant Group, you will occupy a pivotal role as the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant. This position requires a warm, friendly, and professional approach to greeting and seating guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The host is responsible for managing reservations, waitlists, and guest inquiries, as well as coordinating communication between guests and the restaurant staff to ensure smooth and efficient service flow. You will play an essential role in maintaining a well-organized seating chart and server rotation to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction. This role calls for a person with excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.

Job Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the restaurant for extended periods
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry items up to 20 pounds
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Reliable and punctual
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Friendly and outgoing personality with a positive attitude
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Familiarity with reservation systems or software is a plus
- Previous host experience preferred but not required
- Training will be provided
Job Duties
- Welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude
- Manage the waitlist and reservations
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Seat guests according to seating charts and server rotation
- Take and confirm reservations over the phone or reservation system
- Maintain an up-to-date reservation book
- Communicate special requests and guest preferences to staff
- Provide guests with information about menu items and promotions
- Assist guests with coat check
- Handle guest inquiries and special requests professionally
- Maintain communication with servers and kitchen staff
- Relay important guest information to team members
- Coordinate with servers to manage guest flow
- Keep track of waiting guests and notify them when tables are ready
- Keep the host stand and waiting area clean and organized
- Ensure menus and promotional materials are in good condition
