We are currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Hosts. This position plays a crucial role in shaping the first and last impressions our guests have during their visit. As a Host at Malfi, you will be responsible for creating a positive and welcoming environment right from the moment guests arrive. You will greet guests warmly, manage seating arrangements efficiently, and maintain an organized waiting list to ensure the smooth flow of service. Working collaboratively with our front-of-house team—including servers and bartenders—you will help facilitate a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for our guests.
Beyond guest interaction, this role also involves answering phones, handling reservations, responding to inquiries about our menu and offerings, and assisting with light administrative tasks such as taking to-go orders. Your professionalism and positive attitude will be key in addressing any guest concerns or special requests, helping us maintain our reputation for exceptional hospitality. Working in a fast-paced environment, the ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent multitasking abilities, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for working in the hospitality industry. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- availability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- strong verbal communication skills
- ability to stand for extended periods
- customer service experience preferred
- ability to remain calm under pressure
- basic knowledge of restaurant operations

Job Duties
- Greet guests with a friendly, welcoming attitude as they arrive and thank them as they leave
- ensure the efficient seating of guests based on availability and party size
- maintain an organized and accurate waiting list, ensuring guests are seated in a timely manner
- communicate with the front-of-house team (servers, bartenders, etc.) to ensure a smooth dining experience
- assist in answering phones and taking reservations or providing information about the menu and restaurant
- ensure the dining area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times
- handle guest inquiries, concerns, and requests with professionalism and a positive attitude
- assist in light administrative tasks, including taking to-go orders and helping with the flow of service
