Job Description

Maggiano's Little Italy is a renowned casual dining restaurant chain specializing in classic Italian American cuisine. Established as one of the pioneering brands in casual dining, Maggiano's prides itself on delivering a warm and welcoming atmosphere that celebrates the love of family and friends through shared meals and joyful experiences. The brand is part of Brinker International, a well-respected organization known for great food, great times, and great employment opportunities. Located at 2089 West Big Beaver Road, Troy, Michigan, this Maggiano's location upholds the tradition of Italian hospitality and authentic dining experiences that guests have come to know and love. The restaurant combines a rich history with modern service excellence, making it a preferred dining destination for locals and visitors alike.

The role of Host at Maggiano's Little Italy in Troy is crucial as it forms the first and last impression guests encounter when visiting the restaurant. Hosts are responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and waitlists, answering the phone, and ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued from the moment they walk in until they leave. This position requires a friendly and outgoing personality, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A key aspect of the host's role is to create a memorable dining experience that reflects The Maggiano's Way, which emphasizes bringing people together to celebrate life and relationships through food and conversation.

Working at Maggiano's also means being part of a company culture that values teamwork and community engagement. Hosts assist in special events and help create meaningful moments for celebrations like weddings, birthdays, and other significant occasions hosted within the restaurant. Maggiano's supports charitable causes such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation and local food banks, fostering a spirit of giving back. The restaurant encourages personal and professional growth with career development opportunities, tuition assistance, and comprehensive healthcare benefits including domestic partner coverage based on eligibility.

In addition to a competitive hourly wage of $16.00, employees at Maggiano's enjoy access to a market-leading 401(k) savings plan with company matching, rewards and recognition programs, and discounts on dining and various consumer goods. This role offers nights, weekends, and holiday shifts, perfectly suited for individuals who enjoy dynamic work environments and customer interaction.
