The role of a Host or Hostess at Three Oaks Hospitality is a pivotal position that serves as the first point of contact for our esteemed guests. This position involves greeting guests warmly, providing accurate wait time information, and escorting customers to their dining and bar areas, ensuring they feel welcomed from the moment they arrive until their departure. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to manage guest flow efficiently and maintain a smooth operation at the front of the house. Shift work availability is required, as the restaurant operates at varying hours to accommodate diverse customer needs. Our Hosts and Hostesses play a crucial role in upholding our standards of excellent customer service, making the dining experience pleasant and seamless for all patrons. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals aspiring to build a career in the hospitality industry, with the chance to develop essential skills such as communication, customer relationship management, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience as a host/hostess or waiter/waitress
  • Experience in managing reservations
  • Understanding of restaurant etiquette
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations
  • Demonstrable customer-service skills
  • Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area
  • Availability to work in shifts as needed
  • Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift
  • Remain standing for extended periods of time
  • Bending, squatting and lifting up to 15 lbs. for short distances
  • Ability to work with varying noise levels

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Hospitality certification is a plus
  • Previous experience as a host/hostess or waiter/waitress
  • Experience in managing reservations

Job Duties

  • Welcome guests to the restaurant
  • Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
  • Manage reservations
  • Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas
  • Provide menus and announce waiter/waitress’s name
  • Greet customers upon their departure
  • Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
  • Maintain a clean reception area
  • Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g., elderly)
  • Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries
  • Assist wait staff as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
