Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
previous work experience as a host is preferred
working knowledge of OpenTable and Point of Sale is preferred
basic computer skills
ability to handle cash and paperwork accurately
excellent interpersonal and communication skills
ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume restaurant setting
ability to handle guest incidents/complaints

Job Duties

Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner as they arrive at the restaurant
seat guests efficiently, manage seating chart, and ensure optimal flow of diners
provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting list
manage reservations using OpenTable
answer incoming calls and respond to guest inquiries courteously
receive, process, and manage takeout and delivery orders
assemble and package orders paying attention to packaging techniques to avoid spills, leaks, or damage during transportation
process payments for takeout orders, including cash, credit/debit, and digital payment methods
ensure accurate cash handling and proper reconciliation of sales at the end of each shift
perform other duties and tasks as assigned
