The role of Host / Hostess at Midwood Smokehouse is vital as the first and last point of contact between the guests and the restaurant. This position requires a professional individual who can set a welcoming tone for guests from the moment they walk in and last until they leave. The Host is responsible for managing reservations, organizing seating arrangements, and ensuring guests feel comfortable and valued throughout their visit. This role demands strong communication skills, a pleasant demeanor, and the ability to manage waitlist technology effectively, with experience in reservation systems such as Resy being advantageous.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in a guest service role preferred
- familiarity with online reservation systems
- excellent interpersonal skills
- ability to stay composed under pressure
- availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- physical ability to stand and lift as needed
