We are currently looking for a Host/Hostess to join our team. This role is crucial as the Host or Hostess acts as the first impression for our valued customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting and seating guests, ensuring they experience excellent customer service from the moment they arrive until they leave. This position requires excellent social skills and a warm, welcoming demeanor. The ideal candidate is empathetic, organized, and able to work efficiently in a lively environment, often necessitating flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. The Host/Hostess will help accommodate special requests, maintain a clean and organized front-of-house environment, and assist in resolving any guest concerns to ensure satisfaction. This is a role that demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with both guests and the kitchen staff, promoting smooth and efficient service operations. The position may require some physical demands such as lifting, bending, or extended periods of standing, and it also requires adherence to safety policies including proper food safety and sanitation practices. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
- ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays
- physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift, bend, push, and pull as needed
- willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment
- completion of food safety certification
