Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain food handlers safety certification within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to obtain nonviolent crisis intervention certification within 30 days of hire
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • Ability to provide courteous and compassionate service to patients

Job Qualifications

  • Food handlers safety certification obtained within 30 days of employment

Job Duties

  • Adherence of standards of operation
  • Sanitation and safety compliance
  • Attendance and punctuality for scheduled hours
  • Provide customer service to patients by delivering meals and accommodating special requests
  • Communicate effectively and respond to patient requests promptly
  • Check patients’ meals for accuracy and stock nursing units with nourishments and menus
  • Communicate concerns to the healthcare team
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently
  • Provide service recovery as needed
  • Maintain documentation of completed services and actions taken
