This vibrant establishment is a gathering place for creativity and social connection, featuring bold design, a lively atmosphere, and engaging dining experiences. Guests enjoy a warm, personalized service that reflects the hotel's commitment to creating memorable moments and exceptional guest experiences. The Beeman’s commitment to excellence extends from its inviting accommodations to its dynamic food and beverage offerings, making it a beloved destination for both locals and visitors alike.
The Beeman Hotel is currently seeking a Host Person for its Food and Beverage department, reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager. This full-time, non-exempt position is vital to the restaurant's operations, as the Host Person is the first point of contact for guests. The role requires a friendly, engaging individual who provides a warm welcome and seamless seating experience, contributing significantly to the overall guest satisfaction.
As the Host Person, you will be entrusted with managing reservations, waitlists, and ensuring the smooth flow of guests in the dining area. Your ability to anticipate seating needs, communicate effectively with servers and management, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is crucial. You will interact with guests to provide menus, share details about their server, and create a congenial atmosphere. Proficiency with Open Table or similar reservation systems is essential, as is knowledge of the menu, including daily specials and unavailable items.
This role also involves monitoring the dining room atmosphere during meal service, addressing guest concerns promptly, and assisting with side duties as customer traffic allows. You will play an important part in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host station and surrounding areas. Your professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills will ensure that all guests feel welcome and valued, reinforcing The Beeman Hotel's reputation for exceptional hospitality.
Ideal candidates are personable, organized, and reliable, with a strong customer service background and the ability to multitask efficiently. Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred. Fluency in English, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays are necessary. The physical demands of the position require standing and walking throughout shifts and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Join us at The Beeman Hotel and become part of a team that thrives on creativity, connection, and memorable guest experiences. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to grow professionally in a dynamic setting while contributing to the vibrant hospitality scene in Dallas. If you are enthusiastic about delivering top-tier service and enjoy working in a bustling, friendly environment, we encourage you to apply and help us continue to offer an unbeatable atmosphere and outstanding guest service.
