The role of Host/Hostess at Aramark is an essential frontline position responsible for creating welcoming and positive first impressions for guests at dining locations. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a host/hostess or food service role preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to meet the demands of the role including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, standing and walking for extended periods
- Must obtain food safety certification
- Willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment
- Ability to maintain a positive and adaptable attitude
Job Qualifications
- Previous host/hostess or food service experience preferred
- Demonstrates excellent guest service skills
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Enjoys working in a lively environment
- Must be able to obtain food safety certification
Job Duties
- Greet guests as they arrive and seat them accordingly ensuring the optimum use of tables
- Ensure any special needs or requests for diners are accommodated and arranged
- Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the front-of-house environment
- Escalate any guest needs or concerns as necessary
- Work closely with the kitchen staff and servers optimizing communication to ensure efficient operations
- Maintain excellent guest service and positive demeanor towards guests, clients, co-workers
- Adapt to guest needs
- Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
