The role offered is that of a server or front-end team member tasked with providing outstanding customer service while supporting other operational functions behind the scenes. The candidate will greet and seat customers, taking into account special needs and customer preferences to ensure an enjoyable experience. They will be involved in suggesting new menu items and limited-time offerings, aiming to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction. Additionally, the position requires effective communication skills and the ability to multitask efficiently, managing various duties ranging from taking orders to handling cash transactions with accuracy. This job also emphasizes proactive teamwork, expecting the employee to assist colleagues willingly and maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the establishment.
Beyond assisting guests directly, the role also encompasses back of the house responsibilities like packaging to-go orders with precision, expediting dine-in orders, and supporting bar staff in drink preparation to improve service speed. Job Duties
- Suggesting new menu items from our limited time offerings
- cleaning, completing side work, and organizing supplies as needed
- proactively assisting other team members without being asked
- providing total guest satisfaction
- greeting and welcoming all customers immediately upon arrival and verifying the number in their party
- seating customers at tables/booths appropriate for their needs and those of the restaurant and introducing feature of the day
- keeping hostess area stocked and clean, including to-go items and bakery products
- handling incoming telephone calls immediately and taking to go orders as appropriate
- maintaining proper supply of clean menus
- periodically supplying customers with initial beverage suggestions and providing beverage order and refills
- resolving complaints as he/she becomes aware of them, notifying the manager of any complaints received
- collecting payment from customers immediately, in accordance with established cash handling procedures, inquiries about food/service satisfaction and handling customer complaints/suggestions appropriately
- bussing and cleaning guest tables in the dining room
- delivering trays of dirty dishware to dish-room and stocking service area with clean dishware
- packaging to-go orders ensuring 100 percent accuracy with food, beverages, and accompaniments
- completing the sign off process on all to-go receipts
- expediting dine-in orders ensuring 100 percent accuracy and proper positioning of food on the service trays
- preparing drinks for the waitstaff to help improve speed of service and table turns
- performing other work-related duties as assigned
